Facebook now want to make active group administrator happy and as people normally say “reap the fruit of their labour“. Facebook has observed that it is not easy to run an active group as the administrator spend time running, regulating and managing these groups.
This new idea will ofcourse help active Facebook administrators “earn money” form their respective groups.
This is a big opportunity for Administrators who have massive, active and useful groups. If you own one, it’s time to make money from your group, isn’t that alsome?.
Facebook is testing a subscription fee of about $4,99 – $29.99 (1,800 NGN – N10,000 NGN) for membership in active groups on a monthly basis.
According to Facebook, the group Administrators invest their time and energy to maintain an active group and some Administrators demanded for tools and assistance to continue to invest in their community.
Facebook has kicked off the “paid group subscription test” on smaller number of groups.
According to Facebook;
Subscription groups were created to make it easier for Admins to provide these experiences with built-in tools, and to save them time so they can focus on offering members-only content.
“For members, they’re now able to sign-up and manage their subscription through the Facebook app for iOS and Android.”
FB said it’ll use whatever it learns from this pilot to assist group administrations offer more to their group members and in return continue to invest in their communities.
People argue that Whatsapp could also have these feature added as Zuckerberg owns Whatsapp aswell, Do you agree?
